The last Wednesday of every month is adult night at the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock. So last month we went to check it out with a couple of friends. The theme was "SeptemBEER." In the front room they had some booths set up. Bosco's brews their own beer so naturally a representative of their's was present. Also, the Central Arkansas Fermenters were there promoting Little Rocktoberfest 2013 and selling brewing starter kits of sorts. There were also informative and fun stations regarding the history of beer and a beer tasting challenge.
After grabbing a drink at the cash bar and checking out the set up, guests were able to explore the museum itself. There's all sorts of natural science information on display ranging from magnetism to reptiles to weather. There is a really interesting tornado room that highlights the experiences of those in Central Arkansas during the tornado of January 1999. Like I said, I've been lazy with the camera, so this is about all I have.
I would have preferred to upload the slow motion video I took of this exhibit but I'm having a lot of trouble. If you can tell me what I'm doing wrong, please do. |
We were excited to find something new to do in town. Next month the theme is "The Science of Fear." Could be pretty cool. Click here for more information about Science After Dark.
